How do pull string blinds work. Replace a pull cord. Tie a new knot in the cord at the bottom rail and replace the rail cap. In easylift systems the blinds have a braided continuous loop that is used for lowering and raising the blinds. To lower the blinds you simply pull down on the bottom rail and tilt the bottom rail back and forth to tilt the slats.
Pull down the right string to lower or raise the top of the blinds. To operate the continuous cord loop hold the front loop string and pull one hand over the other to lift the blind or shade up. Tug on the strings to lift the top portion of the blinds. Grasp onto the set of single strings hanging along the right side of the blinds.
You will see a pin. Conversely try lowering the top of the blinds by angling the string and slowly releasing your grip. Window blinds all generally work in the same fashion. To completely cover the window rotate the cord.
When the blinds are adjusted the loop which has a pulley style that maintains its length. A window covering is manipulated by pulling a lift cord or by pulling the covering itself. Locate the cord lock mechanism in the headrail the lift cords run through this. The vertical cordless blinds come with a vertical cord to rotate the vane of blinds.
To slightly cover the window spread the vanes over the window. This has a continuous loop beaded chain and works very similar to the easylift system. You can slide the vanes on one side in case you want to let sunlight come in. First hold the lift cords level with the headrail and gently pull.
In the case of a lift cord strings that connect to the bottom of the window covering are pulled by the cord. You may see the continuous cord loop referred to as easy glide easy up lift easy rise easy up soft glide ultra lift or ultra. To raise the blinds just raise the bottom rail. Cordless blinds make it easy for you to pull shades on the window.
To lower grasp the back loop string and pull with the same motion evenly and smoothly. This should release the cord lock. Pull on the tassel or lift cord and it should string right through the blind. A cordless blind still has cords going through the slats in order to operate them.
